David Sheppard works in the fields of contemporary opera and Early Music. He has worked with, among others, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, and as a member of The Electric Voice Theatre he has premiered a number of new works, most recently Andrew Lovett's 'Abraham on Trial'.

His Early Music experience extends from work with his own Early Music group Corposant throughout Europe, to work with major Opera companies. Concert work includes solo appearances at St David's Cathedral Festival, Fishguard International Music Festival and Florence International Music Festival.

He has also sung as a soloist with many choral societies throughout Europe.

He was guest soloist, singing Monteverdi, on the Lesley Garrett show for BBC TV, and was also recently featured on the soundtrack of the new BBC/HBO series Rome.

David was a recent semi-finalist in the London Handel Singing Competition.

Recent engagements include covering Pisandro/L'humana fragilita (Il Ritorno d'Ullise in Patria), Hamor (Jephtha) with Welsh National Opera; Prince Gogo (Le Grand Macabre), Ottone (Agrippina) with English National Opera and the World Premiere of Andrew Lovett's 'Abraham on Trial'. 

Future engagements include Oberon in the Russian Premiere of

Britten's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'Don't Breathe a Word', 

a new opera by Andrew Lovett and Fraser Grace with The Electric Voice Theatre and concerts throughout Europe.
